Due to the long incubation period for listeriosis, more vulnerable groups such as pregnant women, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems or chronic illnesses should be alert to symptoms such as fever and severe headache and seek medical attention immediately.

Listeriosis symptoms usually last a few days, but if they persist, it is recommended to seek emergency medical attention or call the emergency room.
